Vokalensemble Sursee Chor Voix-là Sursee Soloists Kesselberg Ensemble, Basel MusikTheraterWerkstatt des Stadttheaters Sursee Conductor Peter Meyer Four important Baroque composers are traveling to Sursee with outstanding works from 1725 in their luggage to present them to the discerning Sursee audience for voting at the first European Song Contest in history. We welcome: Mr. George Frideric Handel; Mr. Johann Sebastian Bach; Mr. Jean-Joseph Cassanéa de Mondonville; and Monsignor Antonio Vivaldi. The moderator will be Sursee artist Anna Barbara Abesch. The ESC 1725 is being staged by the Music Theater Workshop of the Sursee City Theater. Admission is free, but donations are requested to cover expenses. https://www.vokalensemble-sursee.ch/

Kantate VI“ Isabel Klaus, Neukomposition – Premiere Carlo Donato Cossoni „Magnificat“ – first Swiss premiere since 355 years Advent songs with audience ___ The concert will be performed by a choir and orchestra formed specifically for this project, supported by a professional vocal quartet and the instrumental group "Kesselberg Ensemble" under the direction of Ilze Grudule. The "Christmas Oratorio sing-and-play-along" will feature semi-professional singers and instrumentalists from Basel and the surrounding region, who will be invited to prepare their own voices and instruments and participate in a rehearsal on the day and at the venue of the concert.
